Hot Licks
My dog has hot spots and keeps licking at his leg to the point where it bleeds.?
What can I do to get him to stop licking his leg? I’ve taken him to the vet, medicated him and tried everything under the sun, but he still keeps at it.
Hi there.
You may have to get an E-collar (those lovely lampshades) to prevent him from getting “to” the area to lick it. They are making new e-collars that are inflatable that look more like a donut for your dog. They are easier on your legs when your dog runs into you!

Help! My dog licked up some hot chocolate on the carpet then bit me! Will he be okay?
My dog is a 12 year old small breed. I spilled hot chocolate then did not realise he was licking the carpet until a few minutes! As I was pulling him away he bit me (he has never attempted to or bitten me before and is up to date on rabies and other shots. It broke skin but did not bleed. ) I grabbed nearest blanket and put over head and sent him to his crate. Will he be okay?
You got 3 bad answers out of 4! How sad! That little bit of hot chocolate won’t hurt him a bit, and you did the right thing by putting him in his crate, even if you had to put a blanket over him to do it. I would do some training exercises with food to teach him that he can’t have it until you say so. He’ll be just fine!

Is this observational study, experiment or matched pairs study? and why?
Can pleasant aromas help a student learn better? There is reason belive that the presence of a floral scent can improve a person’s learning ability in certain situations. To test this hypothesis, 22 people worked through a set of two pencil and paper mazes two times, once while wearing a floral-scented mask and once while wearing an unscented mask. testers measured the length of time it took subjects to complete each of the trials.
I would say experiment. Observational studies usually don’t set up the parameters. (Here you do or do not provide the aroma, in an observational study the aroma would just been present as a random factor). Most matched pairs studies would have found two sets of students otherwise identical and exposed one to the aroma. Here the same set is exposed one time and not the other. In this version you would conflate the effect of the aroma will the experience gained from solving the first maze set.

i work in a care home and i would like to set up a sensory room for the service users, i have been given the go ahead but my manager can not allocate any of the budget to me, does anybody know where i could find company’s who could might donate any items such as

sounds such as water falls or chimes
therapy balls
bean bags
lava lamps
colored motion lights
or anything else suitable

Some of those things you can find in a Goodwill store or a Salvation store. Also check with the aging dept.or any community drives or services and see what they have..You also can put out flyer’s for donation for those items too..do it with craigslist.com or your newspaper co..hope I help!! good luck!!

What are some good artist/songs with a soothing,calming, relaxing voice/sound?
I don’t have any examples but just something with a soft kind of sound and something that seems to almost destress you by listening. Hayley Westenra is good.

I need help relaxing and calming down?
Every time I call or text my boyfriend and he doesn’t answer I go into a completely, sickening anxiety attack. I need to know how to control it. I am supposed to call him in twenty minutes and I’m already freaking out and I haven’t even called yet!
ahaha you’re not alone (I think). I would say we girls do this b/c…at the time we have no other activity to focus on. So we focus on HIM:) And we freak out because of this very focused focus:))))) I say we stop thinking about these men 24/7 and think about what we are doing with our lives. B/c your life is not about your bf. It’s about what you need to do on a daily basis for yourself, with your friends and family, for your education and future. You need to see the big picture, girl!
