Any suggestions for a cheap, Portable Bed?

I’m moving, and I’m trying to pare stuff way, way down. I’m taking our most essential stuff (clothes, a few books and kitchen things) in my car. My partner’s driving down a truck about a month and a half later. We need a place to sleep during that month and a half. A place to sleep that’ll fit in my car, that I can buy online and have shipped, or that I can easilly locate in our new city. I’m hoping to spend $100-150–and I’m hoping to find something that doesn’t totally suck to sleep on.
We have a lovely bed… a lovely big bed that won’t fit in the trunk of my Le Baron. So it’s just a temporary thing–and a think to trot out for future guests.

I say an air bed. I have a twin size Aero Bed w/ an attached pump. Deflated it is about the size of a rolled up sleeping bag if not smaller.

Everyone who has slept on it has been surprised. You can find an Aero Bed as cheap as $57 at Wal-Mart with a pump. J & R seems to have some good prices as well on Aero Beds. Also, if you use Ebates, you can get a cash rebate on your online purchases. You can get a 1% through Wal-Mart, 3% at J & R, and 2% at Circuit City where I found the best deals on Aero Beds w/ pumps! Not a lot, but still a discount!

Of course anything can catch fire if you set it on fire. Just having it plugged in won’t do it no matter how long you leave it in. Need Decorating Advice – Brown Leather Chair and Black Leather Sofa.?

Any advice on how to make a black leather sofa and a dark brown leather chair gel together a little more smoothly? Unfortunately their cut is very different as well, the couch is big and squishy where as the chair is very sleek. The room just looks so BLAH – very college dorm room. Not the sophisticated/modern look I’m going for. Budget is kinda tight as well so It doesn’t look like getting rid of either piece is going to be an option. I’m very close to taking a can of spray paint to one of them! Ahh the joys of hand-me down furniture.

Nooooo, don’t paint leather!! Tie the room together in other ways. Black, brown and white can be a really nice combination. You don’t say what color your walls are, but if you’re up to it (and are allowed to) paint them either white or very light beige. You also don’t mention any rug color, but if you’re on hardwood, try to find an area rug for the seating area in black/brown/white. Frame pictures – and different sized mirrors) in inexpensive black frames. Find black and brown cool decorator pieces – even some oversized pillows for floor seating. As for curtains, I’d go with something really textury and coarse, in a darker beige than the walls (but not too contrasty) hung simply on rods (tab top or tie top). Pier 1 always has stuff like this, but if you’re up for a search, local second hand shops can help you decorate on a tight budget.

Make a Portable Plywood Table with PVC Legs?

I want to make a portable table with PVC legs, plywood top. The only problem is the flanges. I can only find very expensive ones near me and on the internet. Is there a site that sells them cheaply? I just need a serviceable table for a yard sale and don’t want to spend a fortune on it.

Buy the brackets for making saw horses at Menards or another one of those places. Two sets of brackets and three 2x4s to make the legs and spreaders then just rest your plywood on top. Been done that way for years and years. best part is you can take the whole thing apart and store it flat to use again.

I have – but I won’t do it again. The shipping was reasonable, but only because the chairs were of fairly low quality. My recliner doesn’t recline anymore. Now it’s just a chair (and I’ve only had it 6 months) and they won’t take it back.

Don’t laugh, but it’s called Pet Puddle Magic Powder, and you buy it at www.vhmagic.com. It is really meant to take pet urine odor out of carpets, upholstery and dog beds, but if it can do it for dogs it should do it for humans too! Just dampen the area, sprinkle on the powder and let it dry for a day or two. Vacuum it off, and the odor is gone.

Repainting dog grooming salon ? Need color help?

Hi, I am repainting my salon since I finally have the time to do it. Currently its a country theme with darkish purple walls. I was thinking a beachy theme. What are some colors , decorations that I could use. Websites links would be wonderful. For instance pottery barn has these good looking side tables and nice outdoor beachy colored furniture that I could easily use inside. Should I go with painting the walls a bright, light sandy color or go with an ocean blue /teal color? We are installing nice light pergo floors if they helps with picking colors.

How can i create a salon database?

We have a project in our computer subject and i will create a salon database.
What are the things that i should consider in making a salon database? What are the tables i will create? i really don’t know what to do. pls help me!

I am surprised the project does not have the information for what the salon requires. Anyhow, what does a salon do?

- It has customers, so a table about customers maybe, maybe not.
- It charges customers different amounts for different services. A table that contains the process for different services.
- It has an inventory of goods, like hair spray, etc. A table that holds the inventory perhaps.
- Staff members, a table for the staff members, pay rate, experience, what services they do, etc.
- Appointments, a table to hold appointments, hence the customer table above.

Things like that. I hope that is some help for you.

Nope. You can tell a lot about people by how they treat others. He may be nice to you now, but he’s just going to end up treating you like that. Also, looks aren’t forever. If you are looking for something long lasting, he needs to have a good personality.

I’m a 20 year old male. Strong hands and a strong sense of altruism are some of my features.

You can do both.

The Massage training will take longer.
You can consider Sports Medicine as a male –work on Athletes that require more strength in massage and other modalities–could be w/ a Sports clinic or a team or a school program–College.
Later you could also teach.

The training for a Certified Nursing Assistant–CNA–is about 6-8 weeks. As a male you are good for the Heavy Duty work of many patients, Nursing homes employ many male CNAs. There is also Assisted Living Communities that don’t require CNA certification yet. They train you as a Care Manager and you do many of the same duties.
You are right, the pay is much less but more dependable hours. The work is also not easy but rewarding however

You could work part-time as a Massage therapist and full-time as a CNA or the reverse. You would get a steady income as well as gravy money for the other job and do good at the same time.

Also consider a Chiropractor as a place to work, many use them as part of a treatment plan.

What is the best Portable Massage chair on the market?

I need a portable massage chair to use at an office to give short massages. I have used the Stronglite brand and found that it is ok, but I do not like how difficult it is to put back in the case. I think the other brand I have used was Ergo Lite (?) and it didn’t feel stable enough. I want something light weight, stable, easy to set up and break down, and hopefully under $500. Any suggestions are welcome even if they aren’t completely perfect.
