Muslims >>> Is it a sin to get a permanent tattoo?

I am a Muslim from Turkey, and I was raised religiously. I was always thought that permanent tattoos are a sin. But last week, I went to Jordan, Petra. Its an amazing place, but I noticed something. There are a lot of bedouins there, and they have facial tattoos, especially women. They had tattoos on their faces like dots, and Islamic arts. Is this allowed?

well the only way i think i can really think this through is to make a pro and cons list.

but unfortunately i had way more hardcore cons than pros. Only Allah knows. but its better to stay on the safe side. plus it probably is haram because there is a hadith that says that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that if anyone does anything to show off has committed the sin of shirk.

this is because you are trying to please someone else other than Allah. And if you dont know for sure that tattoos are halal and you still get one, it’s like not really caring if its halal or not you just want to show off with your tattoo, which is MAJOR shirk.

btw, i dont mean you personally, im just talking in general.

oh p.s. those dots you say on womens face, if your talking about the line on their chin and the two dots on each side, thats a tattoo the country people do. they are committing shirk as well, because they do it because they think it makes them look beautiful. but thats only if thats the tattoo your talking about.

How to lose weight in your face and neck?

I don’t have a fat face or a fat neck, I just have a real fear of getting them. Shallow and vain I know, but I’ll do what I can to prevent it. Any exercise or diet plans I can follow to make sure I don’t get podgey in any of these areas?

You can’t. You cannot lose weight on one part of your body.

If you lose weight, you will lose it on your entire body at once. There is no such thing as spot weight loss.

Why do indians get so much facial and body hair?

I could understand why european people get a lot of hair..northern and eastern europe is brutally cold especially in the winter and the body and facial hair keeps them warm during those times of year..but why do indians get so much hair? India is horrendously hot and tropical all year round(comparable to florida and mexico) with the exceptions of the himalayas and parts of north india in the winter. What evolutionary adaption does lots of facial and body hair serve for indians especially when it is 70-90 degrees all year round.

Is it harmful to use bleach to lighten facial and body hair when you are pregnant?

Hi, I am 5 week pregnant and I was wondering if it will harm my baby if I use bleach to lighten my facial and body hair. I also use henna to color and condition my hair. is it harmful also? I haven’t used any of it ever since I found out that I’m pregnant. I would also like to know if I can start walking on trademill for exercise. Althought everybody in my family been telling me to do nothing but sit around and wait till it turns three months so that my pregnany will be settled and I won’t have the fear of losing the baby. I would be very greatful if someone could answer my questions.

Don’t do any heavy lifting or running, but walking is just fine. I hope by “bleach” you mean drug store bleach kits, and not actual chlorine bleach, which isn’t safe, period. You can bleach your facial and body hair, just do so in a very well-ventilated area. Peroxide or peroxide cream would be better than normal lightening kits, though. You don’t want to risk inhaling too much ammonia.

You actually have a higher risk of miscarriage later in the pregnancy, when your body has extra weight and mass to adjust to. Just don’t overdo it, and you should be fine.

Which of the natural oils could be used before face massage?

I use olive oil and it is not bad, but I don’t know can I use other oils such as hazelnut or kukui nut oil (that I found via search here) or others?

Pure vegetable oil or nut oil are great for facial massages, though generally different skin types respond better to some oils than other.

Sweet Almond – very moisturising, rich in EFAs and vitamins A & E. Light both in odour and colour and while it is suitable for all skin types, is particularly useful for dry or sensitive skin.

Apricot Kernel –similar to Sweet Almond oil chemically, but with a wonderfully light consistency and aroma making it particularly suitable for facial massage and treatments.

Grapeseed Oil – a light, gentle, emollient oil with a low odour and good penetration. Readily absorbed by the skin and carries a low risk of allergy. Especially popular with professional massage therapists.

Jojoba Oil – not an oil , but a liquid wax, with natural moisturising and healing properties and suitable for all skin types. Like grapeseed oil, it is not a nut oil so very suitable for those with sensitive skin.

Macadamia Nut Oil – a thick oil recommended for mature or very dry skin due to its high levels of palmitoleic acid, a mono-unsaturated fatty acid not found in most oils.

These oils can be used singly or in combination and may benefit from the addition of other oils such as –

Evening primrose oil – rich in EFA’s and in particular GLA, it is very moisturising and rejuvenating, softening and smoothing the skin. It is particularly useful for excessively dry skin or for mature skin.

Rosehip oil – high in EFA’s and vitamin C. Emollient and readily absorbed into the skin and is particularly useful for mature, dry or damaged skin.

Wheatgerm Oil – renowned for its high content of Vitamin E, an antioxidant, as well as fatty acids and is particularly useful for dry or mature skin.

It only takes a few minutes a day, but it stimulates your lymph so much that you shouldn’t do it on a daily basis to start with, you should begin by doing it every other day or three times a week. You could also do face exercise to prevent muscle atrophy and sag, as the massage doesn’t really target them.

Another massage technique consists of a ” rubbing the wrinkles away ” , for crow’s feet for instance, spread the wrinkles with the pointer and middle finger of one hand and rub the wrinkle up and down with your other pointer finger.

There are actually lots of massage techniques out there, they’re all beneficial. Don’t believe one should only massage in an upward motion, this couldn’t be further from the truth, apply some oil on your face before the massage, you should only massage a clean face too.

What is the difference between a North Face slim fit, and regular?

I tried on a North Face Denali womens jacket in a size small. I need one in a medium, and I looked on ebay, and they say that these are all slim fits and opposed to what is in the stores. So just wondering how big of difference a regular fit north face from a slim fit north face.

How can I lost fat from my face? Im 15 and when I was younger it was slim?? :(:(?

When I was young(Under 11 years old) my face is nice and skinny and now as 15 I have a really chubby cheek, please help and why? If it baby fat then why it just started because i have always have Slim Face and how can I get rid of it.

Puberty maybe? Your body could be maturing so I wouldn’t stress so much right now.
