How to store a memory foam mattress pad?

We recently bought a 3″ memory foam mattress pad for our sofa bed to make it more comfortable for guests. Does anybody have any idea on how we can store this mattress pad during the day when it’s not being used?

If you are tight on storage space
store it under a bed
inbetween matress and box spring

If not then just roll it up and put something around it. string, bungy cord, strap

How long should I let my memory foam expand?

I just bought and received a 3″ twin size Soft Sleeper memory foam mattress topper. My friend has another memory foam topper, but had problems with his because he didn’t let it expand enough before using it. How long should I let it expand for to avoid doing damage to it? Is it going to grow much? The dimensions online said 76″ x 37″ x 3″, but it’s only about 68″ x 30″ x 2.5″ right now. Also, any hints for getting that awful smell out? Should I just use some Frebreeze?

Frebreeze will help. The smell will eventually leave. I suspect your friend got a defective topper. We have one, and it is shorter and narrower than it is supposed to be. stretch it to fit your mattress before putting your sheet on. Memory only means if you stay off of it long enough, it will go back to close it’s original size.

How long do you have to wait to go to the tanning bed after you get a tattoo?

I got a tattoo yesterday on my hip . I go to the tanning bed . How long do i have to wait before i can go? Is the tanning bed going to make my tattoo fade?

At least a month.

Why would you want to destroy your skin with a tanning bed? Plus destroy the new tattoo. Plus get skin cancer at a young age.

How long should i wait before i go out tanning or to a tanning bed after i get a tattoo?

Till the apocolypse. Unless maybe if you put a lot of high SPF sunblock on the tattoo, but the sun or a tanning bed will fade it if you don’t.

Is the ink in my tattoo supposed to be printing on my bed sheets ?

i had my first tattoo yesterday and im a little concerned to wake up and find the exact same print on my bedsheets.
i have followed the instructions from the artist to wash with water and then put bepanthum cream on.
was wondering if this was anything to worry about?

Thanks
so is it ok for me to keep cling film and a cover off it to let it get some air as long as it gets washed and has savalon cream on it ??

Yes some ink will leak the first couple days, and then when its healing and flaking it will look like color flaking off. Is normal….just keep it clean. And no do not keep cling wrap over it, that will slow healing and help keep it moist and warm…i.e. perfect place for bactereia to breed….raise chances of infection.

Should I tan in a bed with a new tattoo?

I just got a new tattoo on my back and I frequently tan in the bed…should I cover it or will it be ok? I know your not supposed to expose it to sun till it’s healed but wasn’t sure about fake baking….

You should still cover it, or at least keep it really moist, like putting on extra A&D Ointment.
It’s better to be safe then sorry I would just cover it till it heals.

Time table for BEd primary cource at University?

I am a mature student, and am contemplating doing a BEd primary cource at uni next year, but am worried about the time table because i have 2 kids ages 3 and 7, and live about 90 mins from the nearest uni. Although i am going to move closer to the uni, i would like to hear from anyone who has done this cource, to find out what hours i will be looking at.
I would love to hear from NQTs, to also tell me whether primary teaching is what they expected/anticipated please.
Thanx in advance.
Would it be better to do a degree first, then a PGCE?

it is incredibly tough. In four years I spent of 40 weeks teaching full time (unpaid). I was planning for at least two hours a night during these placements.
University wise the workload is also very high. 10-25 assignments depending on the year, 15-20 hours per week in lectures. The drop out rate on my course (Demontfort University Bedford, now University of Bedfordshire) ran at over 50%.
Saying that though the mature students did very well. All juggled families and jobs. It is tough and the journey times will make things difficult.
Chances are the uni will put you on school placement near your house if you request. (Worth doing or you’ll have a 6am wake up). The uni should be able to help with a nursery for your youngest.
I know it sounds silly but make sure you volunteer in a primary school first it will help with your application no end and give you a real test of school life. Hope this helps good luck.

RE COMMENT TWO:
Please do not do a PGCE, the course does not prepare you at all for teaching, good schools do not employ people who have taken that route. I have it on good authority that when schools are accepting applications from NQT’s two piles are formed, BEd and PGCE the latter tend to end up being recycled. I don’t want to sound arrogant but the PGCE was a short sighted initiative by the Government which is fantastic in the secondary sector but massively flawed in the primary sector. A BEd will get you a job (98% find employment in their NQT year,I think it’s about 50% for PGCE).

Would using a Massage Table be good as a bed for sleeping on?

I have a bad back, and the position of sticking your head in the hole makes you spine very ‘neutral’. Are there any drawbacks to this?

Yeah, you will fall off it in the middle of the night. When we don’t exercise our back, yes our backs, they become tight and weak and cause us pain. You need to start on some back stretching exercises that will strengthen your back. Search on the Internet for some Back Stretching Exercises. These should be simple, quick and done routinely.
make sure the instructions are clear and that you have a picture before you start the routine. Pictures reinforce us to do the exercises properly. Do not do any exercises that are suggested on this site as they do not have any pictures, either. If you do exercises routinely it will lessen your pain and help your back.

Giving a girl a massage on a bed?You people think the worst of me?

Asked this question already but I was not clear and you cynics assumed the worse. This girl wants me to give her a massage on a bed and I haven’t done this before. Nothing ridiculous is going to happen but we will probably hook up; not sex, and probably nothing more than making out. I was just wondering how to initiate this?We are freshman in high school

Ask her where she wants this done.

Can you give a oil massage on a bed?

I can’t afford to get a Massage Table. Is it possible too give one on a bed? If so give me the instructions or what i could do too make it easy. Also would towels be a good idea to cover the sheets with?

Get a really big beach towel. Depending on the type of massage and the person receiving it you may want ot consider the floor rather than the bed. Keep in mind that oil gets everywhere if you are not careful. A Massage Oil bottle it a very good investment and keeps spills to a minimum

which color furniture and accessories goes well with alfresco sky?

my sons room is painted with alfresco sky dulux (blue) on walls and whtie on ceilings. which color furniture , curtains and bedding goes well with it.
iam looking for some different color not blue furnishings.
i dont mind changing the wall color if i dont get any correct match for the existing combination.

I suggest to pick out your bedding first. This way you are using that as a guide for additional colors in the room. It is always easier to decorate a room after your soft goods have been chosen instead of the opposite.

I want to paint my room sky blue, but I don’t know any colors that would match, any ideas?

well i want to paint my room sky blue, but i am not sure what colors i should paint for example my bed or the window frame or my closet, what colors would match all that with the sky blue paint?

White – it brings out the blue & will make the room look larger if you use it for the trim & ceiling.

How much does it cost to use a tanning bed at a salon?

I want to get a tan and was wondering how much it cost. I tried tanning lotion and it didn’t work out

40-50 a month
and some places offer $100 for a yr

Is it cheaper buying a tanning bed then going to the salon? If it is what about my electric?

My husband and i have been talking about it for a while now and we thought we would ask you guys. If it were cheaper then would our electric double?.. and if thats the case then it wouldnt be cheaper at all……right?

It’s all relative. It depends on how long you are wanting to tan…if that’s forever, buy a bed, preferably a stand up as they allow an all over even tan and avoid heat rashes (pressure points).

EDIT: To the person below me, you must not have been tanning right, to have wrinkles at 18 years of age. I know a guys who have been tanning for over 15 years who have perfect skin, and it’s as tight as it could be. I could certainly see it though, most young girls overexpose themselves too much during the summer with laying out constantly and even using the booths in addition to that. The fact is, you can tan daily in a booth for years and have perfect skin because it’s moderate exposure. So having your own bed and tanning everyday is perfectly fine, as long as the days you use it you avoid the sun completely.

Bed Portable
Any suggestions for a cheap, Portable Bed?

I’m moving, and I’m trying to pare stuff way, way down. I’m taking our most essential stuff (clothes, a few books and kitchen things) in my car. My partner’s driving down a truck about a month and a half later. We need a place to sleep during that month and a half. A place to sleep that’ll fit in my car, that I can buy online and have shipped, or that I can easilly locate in our new city. I’m hoping to spend $100-150–and I’m hoping to find something that doesn’t totally suck to sleep on.
We have a lovely bed… a lovely big bed that won’t fit in the trunk of my Le Baron. So it’s just a temporary thing–and a think to trot out for future guests.

I say an air bed. I have a twin size Aero Bed w/ an attached pump. Deflated it is about the size of a rolled up sleeping bag if not smaller.

Everyone who has slept on it has been surprised. You can find an Aero Bed as cheap as $57 at Wal-Mart with a pump. J & R seems to have some good prices as well on Aero Beds. Also, if you use Ebates, you can get a cash rebate on your online purchases. You can get a 1% through Wal-Mart, 3% at J & R, and 2% at Circuit City where I found the best deals on Aero Beds w/ pumps! Not a lot, but still a discount!

If you leave a portable dvd player on, plugged in on the bed, will it catch on fire?

My mom told me that. Is it true?

Of course anything can catch fire if you set it on fire. Just having it plugged in won’t do it no matter how long you leave it in. Here is why: all consumer electronic devices sold in the United states have components that are guaranteed by a consumer product safety commission called underwriters Limited (they help write the laws by which standards are set for how much voltage can flow through a component before the fuse in the component pops). Yes we still use fuses, and capacitors inside of our modern electrical devices. Such consumer products as TVs or CD, DVD players won’t burst into flames. Now if she is real insistant then send her to home depot and have her pick up a GFCI electrical outlet. For 7-11 dollars you will have an outlet that will shut off just like those around your sinks. The slightest disturbance in electrical flow and the outlet shuts off. It is especially useful if you drop a curling iron in a sink full of water or water running while your brushing your teeth. The electricity immediately turns off (W/In 1/60th of a second).

Will the “jade Massage Bed” cure my scoliosis? please help me?

I am 14, I was diagnosed with S scoliosis and the upper curve is 18 and the other one is 20…my therapist is telling my mother that the “jade massage bed” is enough for treating my scoliosis…and we don’t know many things about scoliosis, so I am afraid that they tricked us :(

no its not, stuff like that only stops the pain or slows the growth of the curve it wont make your spine straight…only surgery can do that.

where can i buy a good massage bed?

i want to buy a massage bed for my parents. but i never buy this kind of things. could anyone give me some advices?
P.S: resently i saw a website that sold massage bed, the products seems good. but i can’t make sure it has good quality.

http://www.thermalmassager.com/Thermal-Massage-Bed-c1.html

A decent massage bed will set you back anywhere from $500 to $1000 – but it will last a LONG time, and if it is used much will definitely be worth it. I definitely wouldn’t trust anything that normally retails for less than about $350 – they are not likely to be durable. // A special warning: stay away from Costco brands.

I’d stay away from such gimmicks as “thermal massage beds” – the simpler the better in general, although you want it to be adjustable and to have a good face hole.

Check for “massage supplies” in your local phone book – in the nearest good-sized population center if you live in a rural or semi-rural setting. Better yet, phone a couple of the massage schools in your area and ask them if they could recommend a particular brand or model… describe exactly what it will be used for, to give them a better chance of recommending something appropriate!

When you find some models you like, do your research – ask around, check with Google searches online, etc. This is the best way to sift the wheat from the chaff!!
