What are the benefits of a spa massage?

Posted in Beauty by Tyrone Appleberry on April 9, 2012

During a Spa Massage, the body’s soft tissues are treated with touch. Pain and Stress Relief, relaxation and an overall wellness are among the reasons why many explore massage therapy.

What to expect during a spa massage?

During the first visit, an individual is asked to disclose medical history information during the client intake process. Questions regarding health conditions, physical areas of concern, and contact information are all gathered during this process.

The individual is then asked to disrobe and is escorted to a Massage Table where the treatment begins. The genital areas are covered during the entire session. Over the course of the spa massage, the body parts are kneaded, pumped, compressed and stretched. Depending on personal preferences, music can accompany the spa treatment.Perhaps a pop recording from the 70s from performers at www.partygetup.co.uk

Benefits of Spa Massages

In some cases, the Body Massage can be covered by an insurance provider. Depending on the carrier, and the state of the insured, a body massage can be covered if deemed medically necessary by a physician. If a massage is identified as a promising means of treating a physical injury, the person may be able to utilize massage therapy services for a specified period of time.

A spa massage is an excellent tool for relieving stress. Massages have been clinically proven to relieve chronic stress. Spa massages are often credited with helping lower blood pressure, balance hormone levels, improve circulation and increase energy levels.

In pregnant women, the spa massage is helpful in reducing symptoms such as swelling and edema commonly associated with pregnancy. Massages also help relieve pressure at the various points in the body where fluid retention is common. It relaxes the soft tissues in these areas and stimulates the removal of tissue waste.
Spa massages help release endorphins into the system, improving how the brain functions. When the brain is functioning at its best, it is easier for the individual to relax. This also helps improve sleep patterns in those with chronic sleeping problems.

Spa massages are a great way for a person to manage stress, build up some energy and recover from injuries.

Give Up Smoking Or Switch To A Safer Alternative?

Posted in Health And Wellbeing by Tyrone Appleberry on November 15, 2011

Ask any smoker if they want to give up and there is an excellent chance they will say “Yes!”. Most nicotine addicts are desperate to kick their habit because we are all too aware these days the havoc smoking can do to the human body. It’s just unfortunate that quitting is an extremely hard thing to do even for those with an iron will power.

It doesn’t even make much difference that there are now so many products on the market which are supposed to make the task easier than ever. Most smokers have tried nicotine patches, gums, hypnotherapy and any number of other things which are supposed to make giving up as easy as taking a shower. Most of us have leaned the expensive way that these things don’t work like is promised.

These days smokers have another option and that is not to give up at all, but to switch to a product which is just as satisfying to use but potentially less harmful to the human body. It’s called an e cig and it’s a battery powered nicotine delivery device that doesn’t contain tar or carbon monoxide. You can find them for sale quite easily on the Internet and they are actually cheaper to use over the long run than tobacco. So, if you are fed up paying a fortune to slowly kill yourself you might want to check them out, just make sure you do plenty of research beforehand to ensure you get one of the higher quality devices.

How to Build an Exercise Routine

Posted in Slimming & Fitness by Tyrone Appleberry on November 13, 2011

So, you want to exercise, but not sure where to start? First, know that if you do some exercise then you are ahead of most people who do no exercise. If you are not used to exercising then you must start small. Walking and swimming are the best gentle exercises. In fact, walking or swimming for half an hour 3-4 times a week is a really good level of exercise for the non-professional. If 30 minutes is too strenuous, then start with 15 or 20.

Exercising with a friend gives you more motivation than exercising alone, but if your friend can’t make it one day, do you still have the motivation to exercise alone?

Consider Personal Training Courses if you are starting a serious exercise regime to see what you are able to do. A personal trainer will help you get started and push you beyond what you think you are able to do.

You don’t have to join a gym to get fit, but if you do, you will find lots of help there. Many personal trainers work through health and fitness clubs, or you can join a get fit class, get fit and make some friends at the same time.

Can a Permanent Cosmetic Tattoo Be Removed?

Posted in Beauty Therapy by Tyrone Appleberry on November 7, 2011

There’s good news for ladies who’ve have had an unsuccessful cosmetic tattoo procedure. Whether it’s the color of the brow tattoo or the arch shape that’s turned out bad, it can be corrected, even removed using laser technology. Although in the past there were many ineffectual eyebrow tattoo removal systems, today the techniques used to eliminate pigments / inks are highly advanced and effective. The old C02 lasers are no longer the best choice because now there are the new generation lasers such as the RevLite and MedLite machines that are used for eliminating multi-colored inks and cosmetic tattoo pigmentation that’s penetrated into the dermis. These high-tech lasers are so safe they’re also used for skin rejuvenation , wrinkle treatments, acne scar removal and eliminating skin discolorations and sun spots.

Cosmetic tattoo removal, especially using laser machines like the RevLite or MedLite C6, relies upon PhotoAcoustic technology. This involves multi-length waves that penetrate the skin in busts of heat and sound that are so rapid they don’t create excessive heat. This means that the risk of scars has been reduced to less than 5% and damage to hair follicles and skin is minimal. Another feature of the latest PTP eyebrow tattoo removal laser machines is that they can be used to treat all skin colors. In the past, some treatments were only available to certain skin types, but today, having a cosmetic tattoo removed is not only safer and more effective, but is available to everyone.

Review Oil Treatment for Dry Hair

Posted in Slimming & Fitness by Tyrone Appleberry on September 28, 2011

We’ve all heard of the ole tried and true hot oil treatment and yet if you have really dry hair the standard hot oil treatment may not deliver for you.  I know I never found this method of product to remedy my curly overly dry hair.  So I’ve been on a very long mission to find something anything that works.

I’ve suffered with overly dry hair all my life.  I have curly hair and at best hoped to control the frizzy static dry hair that is my hair.  I never dreamed of straightening my curly dry hair.  Anyone with hair like mine knows it only looks good for about ten minutes and then the frizz returns making you regret you even tried.

Conditioners are a must and I’ve tried them all but hands down there is nothing that compares to Moroccan oil.   I was researching for this very problem one day and stumbled upon Moroccan oil, I gave it a try, just as I have all products that passed my point of good research.  This time it was different.  The product was a bit pricey, but for the sake of research I bought it.  I bought it in a salon and later learned you can save a lot of money buying it online.

I was instantly impressed upon first using Moroccan Oil, it smells amazing.  The aroma of this oil was a very pleasant surprise as I have never used an oil treatment that smelled so good and in fact amazing.  I was instantly hooked on the smell.  Then came the usage.  I put the amount in my palm that was suggested, now we all know this is never a fraction of enough.  Yet somehow the Moroccan oil magically covered a very large portion of my thick dry hair.  I left it at that to see how it would work.

You apply Moroccan Oil to wet hair.  I allowed my hair to dry naturally as I always did while I blow dry my bang area.  The natural air dried portion of my hair would take some time but the bang area dried soft and shiny.  I was in shock.  My hair felt like silk and was so shiny.  This was the first time I had ever experienced such a result.

Later once my hair dried my curls we soft shiny and bouncy.  I had no idea my hair could do this and so effortless.  I’m in love with this product and have stopped my life long research.  I couldn’t be happier.  So if you suffer from overly dry hair, curly dry hair or just regular dry hair give Moroccan Oil a try, you’ll be so happy you did.

Pageant Hair Styles

Posted in Uncategorized by Tyrone Appleberry on June 29, 2011

If you’re planning on entering pageants, you’ll need to carefully consider your hair style. This is especially important with glitz pageants. In most natural pageants, wigs and hair pieces aren’t allowed, but you’ll still need to make sure the hair is neat and attractive. In any type of pageants, the hair needs to be “off the face.” In other words, you don’t want the hair covering up the contestant’s face.

Hair Styles for Glitz Pageants

Girls in glitz pageants usually wear the “big hair-dos” that are often associated with beauty pageants. This is especially true in the beauty portion of the pageants. To achieve these pageant hair styles, the contestants wear hairpieces, wigs, or wiglets, and sometimes a combination of these might be used. The extravagant styles seen in glitz pageants are almost always done by professional pageant hair stylists. Unless you’re experienced with styling hair and wigs, don’t attempt this on your own. Most glitz pageants have several pageant hair stylists on hand to do the job for you. You’ll need to make an appointment beforehand.

Most pageants have more than the beauty category. They might also have a swimwear portion, an outfit of choice portion, and/or other categories that you can enter. If you’re entering more than the beauty portion of the pageant, you’ll probably want to change hair styles for each. The beauty walk is almost always first, so the “big hair” can be changed to other hair styles for different competitions.
