What is Fibromyalgia

Posted in Health And Wellbeing by Javier Convery on August 29, 2011

Anyone who has ever suffered from Fibromyalgia will know it is very unpleasant and painful, hard to trea,t and in many ways a mystery to the medical world. To date no cure has been found for Fibromyaligia and no-one is able to explain why the sufferers feel the pains they do when there is no obvious physical reason for it. X-rays show nothing as a cause for the pains, a cause of great frustration to those enduring them. I know someone close to me who suffers from Fibromyalgia, and she asked me to do some research to see if I could find out more about this terrible condition, and to see if there was anything she could do to at least alleviate the many symptoms she was experiencing. Naturally I was more than happy to help out in any way I could, so I began trawling the Internet looking for useful information that would answer my first question ‘What is Fibromyalgia?’ I was very lucky, as one of the first sites I managed to discover answered many of my questions, as well as offering some super ideas for how to alleviate some of the symptoms, and potential drugs that may help the problem. This site opened my eyes I can tell you, and if you know someone suffering from Fibromyalgia I strongly suggest you get them to have a read of it.  The site can be found here: What is Fibromyalgia?

Vintage Cherub Figurine

Posted in Beauty Supply by Clinton Maddalena on August 26, 2011

Angel collectors often include cherubs in their collections. Some people think of cherubs and child angels that haven’t grown up. That’s not quite true a cherub is a type of angel. They always seem to be very busy. Like Cupid running around shooting darts into mortals to make them fall in love!

A vintage cherub figurine is beautiful and shows cherubs performing many of their important tasks. You’ll often find a cherub playing many different kinds of instruments – flute, harp, or even guitar. You can look at a vintage figurine and almost hear the music coming out of the figurine.

Victorian Valentine lovers know that cherubs and angels often adorn the beautiful Valentine cards that Victorians loved so much. Vintage cherub figurines will remind you of these cards that profess love so beautifully. In fact if you love to display your favorite Victorian Valentines in ornate picture frames, you might want to consider including some vintage cherub figurines as well.

The vintage style will coordinate beautifully and create a very romantic vignette – perfect for your bedstand or bedroom vanity. Vintage cherub figurines are often white ceramic bisque or porcelain with touches of gold. All of the major figurine names such as Lladro and Capodimonte make cherub figurines.

How to Replace Stones on Pageant Dresses

Posted in Beauty Supply by Clayton Yonker on August 20, 2011

As you know, glitz pageant dresses are often covered with Swarovski rhinestones. In fact, a high glitz pageant dress might be embellished with hundreds of rhinestones. Unfortunately, sometimes the rhinestones fall off a dress. Just handling the dress, even when you do so gently, can sometimes cause the rhinestones to loosen and eventually come off.

Most rhinestones on pageant dresses are affixed to the dresses with some type of glue. With some dresses, pre-glued stones or “hot-fixed” stones are used. With these stones, you won’t need to apply glue. To be honest, I’ve never used this type of stones.

I’ve always used loose stones that have no glue attached, so I have to apply the glue to the rhinestones myself. From my experience, the best glue for attaching rhinestones to pageant dresses is E6000. You can find this glue at craft shops, online, and even at most Walmart stores.

When you notice that your pageant dress is missing some stones, lay the bodice out flat so that you can see where the stones need to be replaced. Use a toothpick to place a small amount of glue on the stone or on the dress. I prefer adding glue to the dress instead of to the stone, but use the method that you’re the most comfortable with. Place the stone on the dress and press firmly. Allow the glue to dry for several hours before handling the dress.

Finding a Good Diet Delivery Plan

Posted in Healthy Eating by Cody Vanriper on August 2, 2011

While you are searching which diet is best for you, there are several aspects to look at carefully. If you are considering a diet delivery plan where they pre-package and send the food to your doorstep, this is necessary to consider. What you need to remember is how affordable the plan is, is it going to fit your way of life and how simple and easy is the plan. Is the diet meal easy to carry to your job? Is there something unusual that it involves? Will you be able to have a meal at restaurants any longer? What about social gatherings?

One other essential issue to analyze when thinking about diet delivery plans is the menu. Will I like the foods suggested on the menu? How much variety is there? How big is the menu? Do they accommodate special needs, like suffering from diabetes or being a vegetarian? How regularly will they change up the menu to inspire you to stay on the plan? And too, can you order a la carte to avoid eating foods you don’t like? Numerous programs either don’t have this option or they make a la carte ordering so expensive that it it’s simply a waste of money.

The best diet is the one that makes you feel like you’re not dieting. The word “diet” sounds restrictive and limiting. So don’t think of yourself as if you are on a diet, but rather changing your lifestyle to improve your overall health. Maintaining optimal health should be a life-long goal.
