When did your baby start stomach sleeping?
It has been a few years since I had this to worry about (my other child is 5) so I need some reassurance here. My 7 month old has just started rolling onto her stomach to sleep and pushing her face down. We were playing earlier tonight and she was doing what she is now doing in her sleep. At 7 months she has good head control– but it’s still freaky. When did your babies start doing this? We use a Tempurpedic so I am not particularly worried about softness of the mattress. She also uses a Tempurpedic neck support pillow that she has used since about 2.5 months when we started using it to elevate her head during a virus. So again– the question: when did your baby start doing this? How did you handle it? We have used bolsters to position her until now, but i think that time is over based on her mobility. Thanks!
Adrian<3: how do you keep them from rolling over? She has been moving from back to side for several months now, but how do you keep them from rolling?
Both my kids were about seven or eight months when they switched to their tummy. With my first I was a bit concerned with it, whenever she would roll over I would move her back onto her back. After about a week of that I soon realized my efforts were pointless. So then I just left her be, she is two and still only sleeps on her tummy. Just leave her be, you said she’s mobile which means she’s out of the danger zone time range for SIDS so she should be safe.
