So I bought this little liquid heat massage thing shaped like a heart.?
THeres a metal disk inside that you bend back and forth then all the liquid/jell stuff turns into this crystalized stuff and heats up. I was curious what was in it and how does bending the metal disk make it work.
Chemistry: heat through exothermic crystallisation of supercooled molten materials (usually sodium acetate) and are reusable. These can be recharged by boiling the warmers and allowing them to cool. Heating of the pads is triggered by snapping a small metal device buried in the pad which generates shock waves to initiate crystallisation.

Regardless of the price don’t even consider buying a massage chair until you’ve tried it and several other models. You can find massage chairs in many different price ranges. The really good ones that give give a good massage and have multiple settings for different areas run in the $4000 range. Most of the cheaper priced chairs don’t really give that satisfying a massage.
