Positional Release
Positional Release
Does a massage license help with physical therapist assistant position?
I am a massage therapist and am also wondering if it helps on my resume; I am certified in proprioceptor stretches, and positional release.
no not necessarily. PT practices only use massage minimally. There are plenty of positions for PTAs. Some PT offices contract space for LMTs.

positional release in massage therapy?
I am doing a project on positional release in massage and wanted to check what you think is the best techniques.
thanks in advance
I’m not sure what you mean by the best technique? Positional release was first developed by Lawrence Jones,DO. He called it spontaneous release by positioning( later strain counter strain). If you look at his book,it is fairly involved. It it taught by PTs and MTs around the country. Also Ortho-bionomy is a scaled down version, easier to learn, but still effective. Here is a good starter video http://www.realbodywork.com/positionalR/positionalR.htm Hope this helps.
