How long does it take for a Ficus Elasticus or Indian Rubber Plant to root in soil once cut?
I just did 3 cuttings today. This is my first time propagating this type of plant. I dont want to air layer since its winter soon and frost is in the near future. I cant get the HUGE plant into my house. The weather here will kill it and NO ONE WANTS IT. I need to make smaller plants and dont want to lose this beauty. I figured I could start cuttings and try to save a piece of the plant. I just did it today, can anyone tell me when they think the roots will show? I have 2 in different substrates. One’s in sphagnum moss, one in premium potting soil, and one in water. I put root stimulator in the water and dusted them with growth hormone powder.
When you see new leaves, you have roots. Should see them in 2-3 weeks.

Where can I find……?
Where can I find natural hair care products, for African-Americans, that are inexpensive and can be found at a local beauty supply store? I’m trying to go natural and transition. Any tips? My plan is to keep in braids and trim every month. Is it good to apply products on the root while wearing the braids? ‘Cause I heard applying to the roots will prevent oxygen to come in but then I will get flakes if I don’t put any moisturizer to my roots. Also is the Organic root stimulator natural hair products good? ‘Cause I wanted to try them but then I look up their inngredients and they are not completely natural. So what should I do? My biggest problem is the products! I know how to maintain my hair but with what!!?
If you’re looking for natural products that can be found in your local beauty supply store, you’re best bet is to go to the store and look for yourself. You could get natural hair products at health food stores, such as whole foods.
Yes you can apply products to the roots; however, you may have to worry about build-up if the products are not completely natural.
Just because you’ll be dealing with your natural hair does not mean you have to use all natural products. You just have to find what works best for you. Everyone’s hair is different and can respond differently to the same product. You have to go through trial and error.
