If granite and basalt are exposed at the surface in a hot, wet region, discuss which type of weathering will predominate and which rock will weather rapidly? Why? I am really having trouble with this? can you please help- I am very confused. Thanks!

Read about Bowen’s reaction series on the above webpage. Then, think about the minerals that are found in a Basalt versus the minerals found in a Granite. Which of those minerals will disappear first according to Bowen’s Reaction series? You have your answer.
