Motor Back
Is it legal to ride in the back of a motor home?

My husband and I are looking into buying an older motor home. However, it only has two front seats. So my question is, is it legal for someone to ride in the back part of a motor home? Could I sit on the couch while we were driving?

Yes that Lucille Ball movie was great. It’s a classic for funny. I agree it’s perfectly legal because it’s a motor home.

Is there such a thing as a cheap and small electric motor to snap onto the back of a canoe?

I want a small little propeller motor Battery Operated that can be fun to use on a canoe…something that can be portable and just clip on to the back of a canoe

Unless your canoe has a square stern to it your going to need a motor mount bracket, these clamp to the gunwales (sides) and the motor sits just to one side of the canoe. These motor mount brackets a relatively cheap to buy. Electric motors come in a variety of sizes and thrust power, 12 and 24 volt, but for a canoe you’ll only need a small one probably 12 volt three speed should do the job. Keep in mind that you’ll need a deep cycle battery which a heavy and a battery box too. So may I suggest you get a small out-board motor, 2hp is plenty for this application any thing bigger than a 2hp would be too powerfull and too heavy. Those 2hp have a built in fuel tank so no heavy battery. If you don’t want to spend to much money get a used one they’re quite cheap. Even a new one is and they go on the motor bracket no problem. I saw a canoe once with a 2hp out-board motor and it went well and looked like a lot of fun. Happy times.
