Shiatsu Back and Shoulder Massager. Vibrate?
Hi,
Im looking to get a Shiatsu Back and Shoulder Massager but have a choice of one with a vibrate function and one without.
Is it worth spending the extra £73 to get the massager that vibrates as well

I am a shiatsu therapist and a vibrate type technique isn’t used in shiatsu. Those machines have some value but are nothing like a real shiatsu session. A shiatsu therapist will work to find the weak/ tired/ inactive area which is behind the build up of tension elsewhere, so the treatment will resolve the tension and the cause, making a lasting solution. A shiatsu treatment is a really wonderful experience and simply can’t be replicated by a machine – and costs less than £73!

How does a vibrating neck Massager Relax muscles in the neck?
There is almost no medical information on these devices or it’s so buried in cybersmut that its too much work to find.
Applying pressure to the muscles helps them relax. The massager applies pressure. i don’t think it is any more complicated than that. The vibrating massage helps stimulate blood flow which helps loosen up the muscles.
