Will bamboo plants grow back or “fix” themselves after the stalk has turned completely brown?

My friend had killed hers, and i offered to take over. The dead stalk has a bit of green left in a few leaves, but was wondering if it still has hope. Anything to help it?

Bamboo is very evasive. The stalks always turn brown during winter but in the Spring you will start to see new stalks growing from the roots. If your not careful the bamboo will take over. I doubt very much that you killed it. it is not an easy plant to destroy.
