How to get rid of after-exercise muscle pain?
Yesterday, I added a new exercise to my workout plan: planks. Because I had never done these before, I wasn’t sure how physically demanding they were, but I did a couple of sets of them anyways.
This morning, I woke up with my entire core and my thighs all sore. I have an event to attend later tonight and it would be great if I could attend it pain-free.
What can I do to treat this muscle ache?
a couple of ibuprofen and a hot shower just before you go to your event should get you through.
Try to do some gently stretches so you don’t stiffen up too much.

How do I differentiate bone pain from muscle pain in a chronic pain situation in my feet?
I have had chronic pain in my feet since I can remember. I have had bone reconstruction surgery to lower the arch in my foot in the hopes that it would relieve some of the pain.
It did not work.
If I cut the circulation off to one of my feet and go numb, and that stops the pain – does that mean it was muscle or the bone that was the cause of the pain?
In otherwords – if I go numb, and the pain stops does that tell me anything about the source of the pain?
I’m afraid not. You’re numb because you’re pinching off a nerve. Nerves carry pain messages from both muscle and bone. Unless you know exactly which nerve your pinching, you can’t target the pain.
