Is there a good portable baby bed???
I have an 8-month old daughter who is very active. We’re visiting her grandma next week and my daughter would not be able to sleep in a bed. She moves a lot while she sleeps and often tries to crawl off of the bed when she gets on one. I bought a portable tent, but it’s too small and I know she’d go crazy with it zipped, plus it has no padding. A portable crib is a little steep price-wise. Does anyone have any good products or ideas that might work for her week at grandma’s???
I would check stores online like Target.com, where users write reviews of the products they buy. It really helped me when choosing things for my baby-to-be.
Most folks will mention whether the item is easy to assemble or easy to carry around. Target did have some “pack-n-plays” that had been praised for the ease of use.
You don’t have to take someone else’s word for it, but if someone bothered to log in to write the review chances are they really mean what they say, and wish to share their praise or criticism with fellow parents.
Oh and don’t rule out second hand stores for good deals on slightly used items. Afterall babies stay small for such short periods of time! Alot of stuff is still in great condition for a bargain price. Just test out it’s functional ability in the store before purchasing.
Good Luck!

How to safe heating bill during winter?
Which consumed more electricity? Portable heater, heating pad, heated electric warming throw? Thanks.
Electric heat comes from watts of power being used . 1 watt is equal to 3 BTUs of heat . So a 1500 watt heater will put of 4500 btus of heat . Look on the appliance you are wanting to buy and see how many watts of power it uses then multiply that number by 3 and you will get the amount of heat you can get out of it . All heating devices that I know of will only use 1500 watts because thats all a typical house wiring will allow for each recepticle . Some heaters wil have two heating elements ,do not get fooled they are only 750 watts per element .Your bill will depend on how many watts of power you are using.
