What is the term for professional massager..ive herd people say something pronounced “muhh soose?” Thanks
see description above
Note: I have included two links below if you’d like a professional’s opinion (other than my own). Link 1 is a massage publication. Link 2 is another massage therapist.
Some members of my profession shy away from gendered terms such as masseuse (f) and masseur (m). This is the same trend as other professions: flight attendant instead of stewardess (f) and steward (m).
“Masseuse” has a sexual connotation, and what massage therapists provide is professional, therapeutic massage. “Masseuse” is a code word for some people who want happy endings.
I hope this clears things up. Best of luck!

Do I have anxiety or just stress?
I have recently developed symptoms which I believe may be related to anxiety and stress. For the past 6 months I’ve been waking up with my teeth a little sore which I know is from clenching my teeth while I am asleep. I know because I even catch myself doing it during the day. Another thing I have is constant tensed shoulders and lower back. I am constantly on my Chair Massager which I feel is the only way to get Relief as well as professional massages. But within a couple of hours of the massages the tension just comes right back. I exercise everyday and eat somewhat right, but I don’t know what else to do. I believe it all started building up when I was planning my wedding and buying a house, but all that is over with and it is still here. I don’t want to resort to medication, is there any other solution to ease what I think is anxiety?Does anyone else deal with this?
Depends on what your job is like, if you make enough $ to cover your bills, if you bought a house that has problems or is more than you can pay for and if you get along with the new husband…STRESS is my guess.
