Quad Roller
Any recommendations for a roller derby quad skate wheel grippy-ness for a linoleum rink?

I’m about to get a new pair of beautiful skates (because mine are crap/bad quality) and I just don’t know how grippy of Fugitive wheels I should get. The rink I skate on is more or less like a hard linoleum (I honestly don’t know quite what it is–It seems a lot like linoleum to me). Can anyone recommend what they think would be best? Thank you!

What’s better, roller skating or roller blading (inline skating)?

I’ve always wanted to learn how to skate, and now I’ve finally decided to do something about it. Recently I’ve been looking into skating to find out that their are two types of skating. One where you have four wheels, two on each side (quad roller skating) and one where all the skates are in one line (inline skating).

So basically, I’ve been wondering, which is actually the best for someone who’s never skated before?

If you’ve never skated before then it really makes no difference in your learning curve for either option…
In theory quads manouvre better & in-lines are faster, more energy efficient & more stable (ie useable) over uneven ground; so in theory most rink disciplines are better served by quads but if you want to do distances or skate outdoors where the tarmac might not be too smooth then in-lines. The difference isn’t that big either way, once you’re useful then you can do anything in either…
