I am in the middle of planning my wedding for next year and I just got this call from Table Charm. the lady told me that they had an offer of a free vacation for me without having to purchase any of their product or any time share scams. They only ask that you sit through their 1 1/2 hour presentation on their cookware products, then you can choose your vacation package free. Has anyone been to them? Is this legit?

Anyone else give their 8 month old baby table food?
My son is 8 months old and hates the pre packaged baby food. I have been feeding him what we eat. Personally I think the whole baby food idea is a racket. My son eats pretty much anything and enjoyed his first Thanksgiving, complete with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, even pumpkin pie. He does just fine and doesn’t show any allergies. As long as the pieces are small and soft he doesn’t choke either. I also let him self feed unless the food is runny. One of his favorite foods is avocado. Anyone else feed their baby purely table food at this age?
Yep… table food is fine at that age. I mean, after all, babies did eat before gerber!
My son has been on lots of different table foods since about 7-8 months. He isn’t ready for a steak yet, but it things are easily chewed and digested…. go for it. Table foods are great for babies!
I used silicone lubricant to lube up my rubiks cube and on the can it said it may cause cancer if you often get it on skin or something along those lines. When i use the cube some alwasys gets on my fingers and hands, is it safe?

It really shouldn’t stain your scalp but there is the possibility. Do not massage into the scalp, just Massage Your hair. Using vaseline around your hairline, ears and the nape of your neck is a great idea. This will prevent the color from coming getting onto your skin. If it does get onto your scalp, it will wash out eventually. Don’t forget to use a color shampoo and conditioner.

They’re absolute rubbish. Any machine that moves for you, pitch it out. It’s all a marketing ploy, praying on people who are eager to change their bodies.
The best way to tone the body and lose weight is the same way it’s always been: eating right, lifting weights, and doing cardiovascular exercise.
If you want to spend money for exercise, buy yourself some free weights and either a treadmill/exercise bike/step machine. Or invest in martial arts classes – they’re fantastic.

My puppy( a bullmastiff mix) is not yet 10 weeks old, and I know to stop her from nipping I close her mouth and say “no teeth” sharply, and that has been working with the exception of love pinches which get her the same response…..

and I dont mean an ocassional lick, I mean she follows me everywhere and licks my feet, my legs… if she can my hands and face… I cant pet her or play with her because she wont quit it. If I close her mouth like I do for biting wont that confuse her? If I use a sharp voice with her… well id be yelling constantly, and that may cause her to fear me. Shes really grossing me out.

Before you decide to eliminate your dog’s licking, it is important to realize why your dog is doing this. Your dog’s licks are his way of telling you that he loves you and that he wants your affection and approval. It is possible that being pushed away after ‘kissing’ you might make him try harder to lick you, thinking that he didn’t deliver his message well enough the first time.
Another reason for licking is that the dog has been unintentionally trained to compulsively lick. He has learned that by licking, he can get almost anything he wants – especially attention from you. Even though you may have tried to discourage him, he’s been interpreting your actions as even more fun and attention. Sometimes, it just develops into a habit. Your dog continues licking because he likes it, and he thinks you like it too. It is perfectly normal for dogs to express affection in this manner.
Don’t forget the possibility that the dog just likes the taste of your face cream or body lotion or body salts.
Some dogs get carried away with licking when they are in their owner’s lap because they are so excited and happy to be there. In such cases, it is best to spend a weekend or several evenings holding the dog on your lap in order to reduce the novelty and excitement of the experience. The dog should be picked up and held until he settles down to doze. During this session, verbal communication should be soft and gentle so the dog doesn’t become overly excited. This procedure should be repeated over and over until the dog learns that getting on your lap is not a special event.
If he begins to lick you again, squeal or yelp as if in pain. Your dog will learn to stop licking because he does not wish to hurt you. Applying lemon or hot sauce to your skin will make it taste unpleasant to him and this will also help break him of the habit. (It may not however be good for your skin, so be sure to rinse it off as soon as possible.) If your dog is sometimes rewarded for licking and at other times reprimanded for it, he will almost certainly be confused. So teach your dog to ‘kiss’ on request and ‘no kiss’ on request. Only let him lick you if you say it’s okay to do so. If you don’t want to be licked, then politely request your dog to ‘no kiss.’ If your dog has been indulging in this behavior for a long time, then it will also take some time for him to learn to stop, so be patient. After all, he is only licking you, not biting you.
If you decide to stop your dog’s licking behavior, then be sure that he has another way of expressing his affection. Some dogs like to jump up on the owner in greeting, other like to shake hands or roll over for a tummy rub. Training your dog to do a trick such as ‘sit up, shake hands, roll over,’ will give him a less sloppy way to ask for attention. When he forgets himself and tries to lick you, you can rechannel his behavior.

I have one Yorkie and one Siberian Husky and they are crazy lickers! How do i get them to stop! I have tried saying “NO!” and popping them on the nose but then i feel like i am punishing them for being loving and sweet
You should never pop a dog on the nose.
If you don’t want them to lick you, simply turn around and ignore. However why wouldn’t you want them to lick you, it means they love you!
If the licking is obsessive though, just simply turn and ignore.

These two points were made by Obama in his argument for urgency in passing his health care proposals. Isn’t he robbing “Peter to pay Paul”? This plan would tax businesses more than they currently pay for employee health care.
Here’s something to think about: according to the census bureau, of the 47 million or so that are uninsured almost 10 million are illegal immigrants, 8 million make over 75,000 a year, another 8 million make over 50,000 a year, and 14 million qualify for medic-aid or medicare but do not apply. Hmmm. makes you think that maybe our system isn’t so bad after all. So Obama needs to quit with his fear mongering and quit lying to us. There are a lot of unemployed, but 47 million is very misleading. Give us a real number!
Also the idea is that by giving health care to everyone, businesses don’t have to pay for it, and then they can give more jobs, increase profit, and help the economy. Which sounds great, if you’re stupid. Since Universal health care is insanely expensive, guess who pays for it? raised taxes on business and on the rich, (and apparently companies that aren’t green). So it’s basically a beat-around the the bush way to distribute wealth. And ask yourself this? Is it a good idea to take from from the rich? Take money from a poor man, and he becomes poorer, take money from a rich man, and he goes to work and fires his workers. So which is worse? MAYBE GOVERNMENT JUST SHOULDN’T TAKE PEOPLES MONEY!

Interesting question. How many young people, say 30 and younger have paid into a health insurance plan since they were first employed? How many of these have had extreme health issues that otherwise would have wiped them out? Truth is, and the insurance companies know, is that the youth have *always* subsidized the elderly because statistically,one is more likely to need to *use* health insurance when one is older, than when one is younger. So, younger folks premiums go to the cost and care of those who are older. In a way, not unlike a Ponzi scheme.
Is this bad? In strict terms of the youth subsidizing their older compatriots, no. But when it gets dicey is that the youth get old eventually, and when they get their insurance revolked because of a pre-existing condition, or, they have become too expensive to cover and subsequently get cancelled by their health insurance company, that’s when it becomes criminal.
So, short answer, no. There should be a Public Option that ensures the health care of everyone.
