Vicodin and leg cramps?
My wife has been taking vicodin 10/500 for about 3 months now and she feels her pain is gone and she wants to stop taking the pills. But when she stopped for a couple weeks she had leg cramps so severe she didn’t sleep but maybe an hour a night because they cramped so bad almost to the point of putting her in tears. She tried soaking in the tub, massager on her legs, pain meds like ibuprofin and alieve, nothing relieved them. She eventually took the vicodin again because she was miserable at work from the lack of sleep. The leg cramping seem to be the only effect she suffered. Is there any way to make the leg cramps less painful without turning to another drug? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, She really wants to get off them. Thank you
OK she doesn’t need methadone for crying out loud. That’s for addicts. She is past that! She is going through a delayed withdrawls that’s all. Any pain you have from there on is perpetuated while her body is adjusting to creating its own pain blocking chemicals. (endorphines) Did she have a dependency? Sure, but that’s normal even with antidepressants. Right now is the crucial time though were addiction may start. When she realizes all the problems will go away from taking that one pill. Addiction is a learned process rather than a prexisting problem. Now abuse is a preexisting problem. Some will disagree. She has to just stop now. See just like the other guy said go to a methadone clinic, hes labeling her an addict. Then she will start to think shes a addict and act accordingly. Dont learn addiction!!!

charlie horse in leg used massager to relieve pain?
Is that a statement or a badly worded question? If you are trying to figure out how to get rid of them I found the best thing to do is to walk around. If you get them on a regular basis then you may need more potassium in your diet.
