What would you do if your massage therapist did this?
So a therapist friend of mine told me of a little oopsy she did during one of her massages… Apparently she was up all night with her two year old, and the next day during one of her massages, she was working on a client’s neck and shoulders when she actually nodded off for a few seconds, waking up to her face resting on his head! As a therapist, this is mortifying, but as a client, how would you take it? Would you be upset or understanding? Laugh it off or demand your money back?
That is a funny story. If she explained herself,I’d laugh it off. If she just continued on, I think I’d have to ask what technique was that! lol

Is it bad to massage your muscles when they are soar from working out?
I dont know if this will interfere with the muscle fibers regrowing or not, but when my muscles are soar the next day from working out I like to rub/massage them
is this bad?
Not at all! Why do you think they have sports massage therapists?
A massage after a tough work out keeps the muscles loose and helps circulation. It even releases feel good chemicals in the brain.
I also find that keeping your muscles warm and gently stretching will keep them from getting stiff.
And one more thing….. forget the “no pain, no gain” thing. Over exerting your muscles can actually lead to tissue damage.
