I’ve got a horrible backache from nursing. What can I do?

I use a boppy pillow, and I put 3 pillows straight up against the headrest of my bed, so that I’m propped straight up.

You and me both honey, it’s sooo hard on your back. I never used a boppy for that reason. I found a very fluffy high cheap pillow or I would stack 2 or 3 around me one under my elbow for support and one behind my back and neck and sometimes 2 under her to make her high enough.

Your back will get used to it though somewhat over time you’ll get more stregth in you arm.

I could never nurse in any other position either she just wouldn’t latch right in any other hold. She’s 11 mths and I still do cradle.

I want to open a massage therapy business where should I start?

I recently graduated and became board certified in massage therapy in the state of TX. I want to open a business and I have found a great location at great price. I need to know the step I should take to oepn the business. Where should I go for permits and what type of employee numbers do I need. Thanks for all your help.

First, go to your local downtown and find some scantily clad women with strong hands…..then, tint the the windows to your “massage parlor” so nobody can see what is going on in there. Next, you’ll need a guy named Bruno to guard the door. After that, charge more for happy endings…..

I went to school for Massage Therapy and took the national board test and didnt pass it……?

I didnt pass the national board for massage therapy the first time. What should I do different than before? Any websites or books that have study guides?

If at first you don’t succeed…study some more and try again. By all means, but make sure you’re ready before you drop another couple hundred bucks on a re-take.

There are a number of good study guides out there. One web site I found helpful was evolve: https://evolve.elsevier.com/staticPages/s_index.html

It’s a little confusing to find it, but if you create an account (free), you can access study guides and practice tests related to the massage therapy textbooks published by evolve/elsevier. I found the practice exams really helpful.

If you haven’t already, get a hold of the NCBTMB study guide – it’s 40 bucks or so, maybe you can find a classmate or two and split the cost and share it.

Spend some time de-briefing yourself. I know you don’t get to see your results, but think about what questions you had the most difficulty with. What areas seemed to be your weakness on taking the test? Dig back into these.

Find a classmate or fellow massage practitioner who has recently passed the test. Buy him/her lunch and pick their brains about their experience with the test, and tips for passing.

Finally, don’t wait too long – it only gets harder as more time passes…

It might be a problem with the older version. If you haven’t done this yet, go to the control panel and click Uninstall a program. Find the old AVG and uninstall it. Then try reinstalling it from the AVG website.

Well while pregnant you are going to want to be pampered.

Try to find massures that have special pregnancy equipment. (This includes a bed with a hole to stick your stomach through.) Also certain oils and things are not good for you or baby.

Ask for recommendations from your hospital, health practitioner, or friends. If you already have a favorite massage therapist, ask whether she has training in prenatal massage or can recommend a colleague who does. Finally, the American Massage Therapy Association has an online referral system for the United States and Canada. Just click on the map or use the search engine.

The risks of not finding one means that you could be unknowingly putting pressure on your baby or pressure points that deter blood flow for him.

But its a great idea to get a safe massage, help with those nasty back pains.

whats the reasonal value of a hand painted , gold leaf Stein?

i have a hand painted stein with a gold leaf finish on the top in a ring patern with a multi-color glaze all over. also in the middle of it it has a ingraved picture of a child laying on a womans lap in a park setting and on the other side a buck deer in a forest , these ingraveings are panted with a cloudy colored glaze, they’re in a framed lime ingraving with bordered graveing, ( for the deer the color is forest green, for the child its a butter yellow) under this is a ring of copper colored area with a inset ring of gold and under this is a cross and flour-de-lau patern ingraving painted the same as the center gravings in a sky blue. how much can i get for it? be resonable with the pricing plz ( forgive any misspellings im 13)

I think that you should just take it for a proper appraisal, nobody is going to be able to tell you via a discription over the internet, especially without a picture included and even that would be a sketchy way of doing an appraisal.
