do you need special certification to practice Hot Stone massage?
I’m writing a report on Hot stone massage and i need to know if you need a special certificate to provide and practice hot stone massage, or can any licensed massage therapist perform hot stone massage?
Yes, all massage therapy modalities need you to get some certification/education before you can practice. I got a Hot Stone Massage and it caused me to break out?
My doctor told me that my skin is extremily sensitive, could this be why? I dont normally get bad acne though.
Is there any way to prevent this the next time I get a massage?
I found the massage very effective.
Maybe if you had an oil treatment before/during the massage you reacted to the oil or something. If not, try some other massage method. And if you really want, consult ur doctor about getting the same massage, but w/ a thick towel between ur skin and the hot stones. That might not make u break out. Good luck!
