How much do you tip for a professional massage?

What is generous? What is not? Thanks.

You should not feel obligated or pressured to provide a tip to your massage therapist, unless it is an additional form of gratitude you would really like to provide. It is appreciated, but not necessary. A really good massage could average about $70 for an hour. If you pay a business less than that for the session, then the remaining difference could go straight to the therapist as a tip. $20 in any scenario is quite generous.
