Tips for Treating your Skin Right

There are so many Skin Care options out there it can be overwhelming trying to decide on which one works for you. What you should know is that there are many products out there that are supposed to make your skin better but can actually make it worse. Products with chemicals in them can dry out your skin causing more irritation to it. Using some simple guidelines can help narrow down your options of facial products as well as point you in the right direction.

As a rule of thumb, the less ingredients in the product the better. Products with vitamins, aloe or oil in them are good things to look for. Products such as pure Argan oil or Moroccan oil can do wonders on your skin. They contain no chemicals, only Pure Natural ingredients. Make a habit of looking at the ingredients on the bottle of what you are about to purchase. If the majority of the ingredients are things you cannot read or pronounce, steer away from those.

It is good to treat your skin specifically according to its needs, but you need to be careful in doing this. If your skin is extremely dry, it will be a little bit easier to care for. Remember again that moisturizers that contain many chemicals will do more harm than hurt to your skin. Using Argan oil on dry skin can help restore moisture and make it smooth and soft.

If you have oily skin, chances are you may deal with acne, blemishes or scars. Oily skin can be harder to treat. Many people think that drying out their skin will help keep the oil under control. In reality, quite the contrary is true. If you strip your skin of its natural oils, it will over react and begin to produce excessive amounts of oil.  Treating oily skin is similar to treating dry skin. Keep it well moisturized with natural products and this will keep the oil under control.

Inexpensive Beauty Tips for Your Day-to-Day Life

Looking beautiful does not have to be associated with the amount of money that you spend on expensive cosmetics and clothes. You can still look beautiful and fresh, even if you do not have much time to spend on yourself. With some simple tricks and natural products, you can easily improve the way you look.

1)    Balanced Diet: The foremost step in looking beautiful is to have a balanced diet. Most of us are only worried on how you look on the outside. However, we fail to understand that we can look great from outside only when we are healthy and fit from the inside. Cosmetics can only make you look good from the outside and will only cover your external flaws. A healthy diet will help you get the required nutrients and minerals which are needed to keep your hair, skin, nails and eyes healthy. Your diet must ensure that the six vital nutrients are available in your diet which is the vitamins, carbohydrates, fat, protein, minerals and water. You should always include enough fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, grains, fortified cereal and pasta in moderation. Always keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

2)    Honey: Honey is one of the most common components found in shower gels, soaps, facial masks and in shampoos. It is a great natural product that has been used to enhance beauty. Honey is good for both your skin and hair.

3)   Exercise: With regular exercise, you can lose weight and your skin will also benefit from this. Exercise is a great way to lower the acne breakouts and it will also help to fight aging. Workout helps to enhance the Blood Circulation in skin and reduces the activity of the adrenals by decreasing the stress level in your body. Exercise also acts as the perfect way to plump up the skin by boosting the natural collagen production.

4)   Cucumber: This is a product which is also used in high-end beauty spas and salon and is a great component that acts as a beauty aid. Cucumbers have a very intense cooling effect and its astringent qualities can exclusively help you in reducing the puffiness of the eyes and also acts as a coolant to tired eyes. With the regular use of cucumber, you can definitely ease the appearance of eye bags. All you need to do is to take two cucumber slices and you can place them on top of your closed eyes for 10 to 20 minutes.

Always make sure that you use only cosmetic products that contain natural components. Cosmetics are expensive products but by making use of deals, you can easily save big on products when you shop online.   Elf coupon codes are some of the most popular for inexpensive, yet high quality cosmetics for the beauty conscious consumer.

What are the benefits of a spa massage?

Posted in Beauty by Tyrone Appleberry on April 9, 2012

During a Spa Massage, the body’s soft tissues are treated with touch. Pain and Stress Relief, relaxation and an overall wellness are among the reasons why many explore massage therapy.

What to expect during a spa massage?

During the first visit, an individual is asked to disclose medical history information during the client intake process. Questions regarding health conditions, physical areas of concern, and contact information are all gathered during this process.

The individual is then asked to disrobe and is escorted to a Massage Table where the treatment begins. The genital areas are covered during the entire session. Over the course of the spa massage, the body parts are kneaded, pumped, compressed and stretched. Depending on personal preferences, music can accompany the spa treatment.Perhaps a pop recording from the 70s from performers at www.partygetup.co.uk

Benefits of Spa Massages

In some cases, the Body Massage can be covered by an insurance provider. Depending on the carrier, and the state of the insured, a body massage can be covered if deemed medically necessary by a physician. If a massage is identified as a promising means of treating a physical injury, the person may be able to utilize massage therapy services for a specified period of time.

A spa massage is an excellent tool for relieving stress. Massages have been clinically proven to relieve chronic stress. Spa massages are often credited with helping lower blood pressure, balance hormone levels, improve circulation and increase energy levels.

In pregnant women, the spa massage is helpful in reducing symptoms such as swelling and edema commonly associated with pregnancy. Massages also help relieve pressure at the various points in the body where fluid retention is common. It relaxes the soft tissues in these areas and stimulates the removal of tissue waste.
Spa massages help release endorphins into the system, improving how the brain functions. When the brain is functioning at its best, it is easier for the individual to relax. This also helps improve sleep patterns in those with chronic sleeping problems.

Spa massages are a great way for a person to manage stress, build up some energy and recover from injuries.

Giving Yourself a Great Massage

Stress is a big factor these days in most people’s lives. People are working longer hours for less money, and it’s beginning to take a toll. There are lots of people who notice their job performance suffers, and their mood might change along with it. With less time on our hands, it’s not as easy to relax as it once was.

One thing is clear, if you don’t take care of your body then you’ll have a hard time taking care of yourself. When your energy levels dip or you get into stress, you’ll have a hard time performing at your job. It can result in a downward spiral where recovery is nearly impossible. Before you get to that point, it’s essential that you find a way to relieve your stress on a regular basis.

massage

One of the best things you can do is to explore the option of massage for Stress Relief. A lot of people have misconceptions about the world of massage and what exactly involves. Some people think of it as a luxury or something you do on a fancy vacation. But it can also be incredibly valuable in a therapeutic sense that can treat and prevent other medical conditions as well. You don’t have to sign up to some fancy spa, and you don’t necessarily have to spend a lot of money on a physiotherapist.

When you start to understand the basics of massage, you’ll see it’s about releasing tension from your muscles and body. The simple act of touching certain parts of your body can be incredibly relaxing. While it helps to have a professional show you the ropes, you can also use handy devices that don’t require supervision. There are different devices that narrow down on specific parts of the body, and they can be incredibly relaxing. Most of them use either vibration or heat, and sometimes a combination of both, to deal with your aches and pains.

There are lots of personal massagers you can use in everyday life while doing other things at the same time. For example, a modern neck massager allows you to work at your computer or watch television while the device goes to work. A Foot Massager is portable enough that you can use it in any room of your home. Some devices also specialize in shiatsu that can give you Deep Tissue action as if getting a massage from another human being. And if you have a bigger budget, you can go for a luxury item like a Massage Chair that is basically like sitting on heaven. Some of the more expensive ones have various settings that allow for maximum stress relief, and they are well worth the money for daily stress relief.

Prolong Your Skin’s Youth With These Techniques

Posted in Beauty by Javier Convery on February 22, 2012

When we were 16, it was easy to look into the mirror and be happy with our reflection, but now that we’ve reached our 40’s and 50’s, it can be a little more on the depressing side to find a new wrinkle.

We all long for youthful skin, but for many of us, this is an elusive dream. While you can resort to tons of expensive face creams and Botox injections, nothing beats keeping to a healthy lifestyle and Skin Care regimen.

Reduce Signs of Aging

1. Eat Your Way to Healthy Skin

What goes inside your body has a lot to do with how your skin will feel and appear from the outside. Youthful glowing skin starts internally, and by getting a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals daily, you’ll help delay the signs of aging on your skin. Nutritionists advise a healthy diet of food sources rich in omega 3, antioxidants, and monounsaturated fats that are known to help the skin’s renewal and regeneration process. Salmon, halibut, avocado, broccoli, tomatoes, and olives are just a few of the staples that you should have on your grocery list.

2. Drink Up

Hydration plays a key role in keeping your skin nourished and moisturized. By loading up on 8 glasses of water each day, you can help delay wrinkling while keeping your skin smooth to the touch. Additionally, taking in lots of fluids aids in your body’s digestion as it flushes out harmful toxins from your body.

3. Cleanse, Tone, and Moisturize

As you age, your skin loses its original elasticity and radiance, which is why you need to take better care of it. Ask any dermatologist and they will readily tell you that an essential practice for ageless skin lies in the Cleanse, Tone, and Moisturize routine. It may take you 5 – 10 minutes daily to finish the entire process, but its age-defying results are bound to make every minute worth it.

Begin by using a mild facial cleanser to wash off any impurities or debris that may have clung onto your skin. Follow this up by saturating a cotton ball with a toner and apply it carefully on your face. Doing this helps restore your skin’s natural ph levels. Lastly, apply a good amount of moisturizer on your face and neck to fight against rough, dry skin.

4. Protection from the Sun

Constant exposure to the sun’s harmful rays hastens your skin’s natural aging process, causing dark spots, wrinkles, and dryness. Shield your skin from these harmful elements by wearing hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen that are at least SPF 15 or higher.

5. Drive Stress Away

Living a highly stressful lifestyle also takes its toll on your skin. The fact is that anxieties and stress can make your skin age faster. If work drives you crazy, get involved in meditation or breathing exercises to calm your nerves and helps avoid frown lines.

Although aging is an inevitable part of life, creating a healthy lifestyle and a happy atmosphere can help you look younger for longer.

What Kind of Bath Robe Should You Bring to a Spa?

Posted in Slimming & Fitness by Cody Vanriper on February 14, 2012

There’s nothing like a trip to the spa. You can spend hours simply relaxing in therapeutic settings, get a massage to relieve stress, and everyday aches and pains. The problem some people have with getting a massage is that they don’t like the idea of lying half naked on a table. This is why spa bathrobes can be quite handy. Since there are so many styles of bath robes available, how do you know which one will be appropriate for a visit to the spa?

Spa robes are made from different materials. There are luxurious spa robes made with cotton terry on the lining and micro fiber on the outer shell. There are also Egyptian and Turkish cotton robes available, which offer good water absorption. If you’re going to spend a lot of time lounging near the baths or Jacuzzis, then an Egyptian or Turkish cotton robe is ideal. Cashmere robes are considered to be highly luxurious and sophisticated. These are ideal for spas located at winter resorts.

If you’re planning on getting a massage, then you’ll need a robe that will allow you to uncover your shoulders, while still maintaining modesty. A spa wrap towel is a good option, since it’s sleeveless and only comes down to the thighs. You don’t need a robe with a collar or hood if you want a massage.

You will need a robe with durable stitching. After all, you don’t want it to tear up in the washer. You should be able to wear it often without worrying about tears or rips. A robe with double stitching is always a good choice.

Bath robes vary in style. The right style for you depends on your own personal preferences. Just make sure that the fabric and design are ideal for the type of spa you wish to visit.

As long as you keep these factors in mind, you should be able to find the right bath robe for your spa trip!

Tips for Getting Beauty Products for Free

Posted in Beauty Supply by Clinton Maddalena on February 12, 2012

If you don’t have a lot of money to spend on beauty products there are a few different ways that you can get some beauty products for free. It may take some time and effort on your part but if it means you don’t have to pay $20 for makeup, then it is worth it.

First, check for any free trials that the beauty company may offer. I was able to score a Hydrolyze free trial and was able to decide if this eye cream really worked before I bought it. I know a lot of companies have free trials for certain products, but just be sure you read the fine print because you don’t want to end up paying the next month because you signed up for a monthly service.

Facebook is huge nowadays and just about every makeup, hair care and skincare company has a business page on Facebook. A lot of these companies will actually have offers where you if you “like” them on Facebook they will send you a free sample. Check out your favorite brands on Facebook to see if they are running and specials and if you “like” them on Facebook you can keep up with any free offers they may have in the future.

You can also check out blogs and websites that are geared towards beauty products and freebies online. This is how I got a free sample size of the stretch mark cream Celtrixa. I found the deal posted on a website and got my free sample in the mail about 3 weeks later. You can subscribe to these websites so you get the notifications in your email.

If you want something for free sometimes all you have to do is ask. This doesn’t always work, but if you email or send a letter to some beauty companies they may give you coupons or even free samples. All you have to do is tell them how much you love their product or add in something like you really like the product but you don’t have enough money to keep up with using it. This doesn’t always work, but for the 10 minutes it takes, it can be worth your while.

Hopefully this gives you some ideas on how you can get some free beauty products and save yourself a lot of money.

Makeovers as Fundraising Ideas

Posted in Slimming & Fitness by Mathew Bachelor on January 30, 2012

Have you ever thought of makeovers as fundraising ideas? Unique fundraiser ideas are sometimes hard to come by because so many clubs and schools hold so many fundraisers every year. As a result, the public becomes over saturated with fundraisers, in general, so to pique their interest, you need some fun and unique fundraising ideas. Makeovers could easily turn into a great fundraiser event.

If your club has its own building, holding a makeover session will be pretty easy to do. If your club is trying to make money for charities, you might be able to enlist a few professionals to offer their services for free, or at least at a reduced rate. Of course, you wouldn’t necessarily have to have professionals for everything you offer at your makeup sessions.

What all should you provide for your paying customers? I would suggest haircuts and hair styling, pedicures and manicures, facials, and makeup tips. You might also want to provide a person to give tips on how to dress well for body shape, along with the best colors and shades to wear for an individual’s skin tone and overall coloring. Another good idea would be to have someone with a variety of accessories, including handbags, totes, jewelry, scarves, and sunglasses. These vendors could bring their products and give your club a cut of their sales income. You could do the same with any makeup that’s sold at the fundraiser, too.

To make these makeover fundraising ideas really enjoyable, set the scene to make it seem more like a relaxing spa experience. Have some soft music playing in the background, and make sure your patrons feel “spoiled.” Offer them a glass of wine, along with some cheeses, crackers, and fruits. You want your customers to really enjoy their experience so that your club will gain a good reputation for its fundraisers.
